How a world-class city embraces growth and prosperity

Intercontinental Exchange is proud to support Atlanta’s Westside Future Fund.

What is the NYSE Future Investors Program?

The NYSE Future Investors Program presented by Intercontinental Exchange is a digital learning experience designed to equip students with an understanding of how the market works and the confidence to participate in it. Through an engaging, gamified learning experience, students blend economic concepts with investing topics to learn how the government, corporations, and individuals come together to participate in the financial marketplace.

What’s the aim?

Understanding how markets work and knowing how to participate in them is critical for long-term wealth creation and financial stability. With the right strategies, modest investments can become sizable nest eggs. This course is a scalable solution designed to equip the next generation with the tools they need to make wise financial decisions as they enter adulthood.

Being able to partner with EVERFI and Intercontinental Exchange to bring more life to the classroom experience for my students was an amazing opportunity that I and my students will remember for a lifetime. We were able to bring the real-world to the students and the students to the real-world. This partnership was a prime example of how collaborative efforts between career pathways and business professionals impact the lives of students and the choices they make regarding their future endeavors.   Teacher at North Springs High School

Where is this program being deployed?

Intercontinental Exchange is underwriting the program in partnership with EVERFI, a leading educational technology company. ICE began 20 years ago in Atlanta and chose to launch the program there. The NYSE Future Investors Program is currently reaching students in 15 Atlanta area high schools across Cobb, DeKalb and Decatur counties.

How do you measure success?

There are two key measures of success for the NYSE Future Investors Program. The first is reach -- how many students and schools were impacted? The second is impact -- how did these students change as a result of their participation?

In the inaugural year, ICE impacted more than 600 students across 15 schools. The students who participated averaged a 54% knowledge gain increase from pre-test scores to post-test scores in the digital lesson. Equipping students to create sound financial futures is the whole purpose behind this endeavor.
